Trusted chiropractic care for Montrose
About 6 miles (15-25 minutes) from our Galleria-area office
Montrose runs from Allen Parkway down to Highway 59, between Bagby Street and Shepherd Drive, and Westheimer Road cuts through the middle of it. That road is also our address — so from most of Montrose, getting here is a matter of heading west on a street you are already on.
The honest caveat is that Westheimer through Montrose and Highland Village is not a quick drive. Plenty of patients prefer West Alabama, or drop down to US-59 and come up the I-610 West Loop. Either route is roughly six miles to our building at the northwest corner of Westheimer and the Loop, across from The Galleria.
Because Montrose is one of the few genuinely walkable neighborhoods in Houston, the complaints that come out of it look different from the rest of our caseload. A lot of it is standing work: restaurant, bar, gallery and retail staff spending long shifts on hard floors, which produces heel and arch pain, low-back pain, and hip complaints. A lot of it is younger patients whose neck, shoulders, and posture have already been reshaped by years of phones and laptops. And a steady share is cyclists arriving with overuse injuries that started as stiffness they ignored.
Dr. Francis Ajayi examines, explains, and sets a plan with an actual endpoint — which matters if you work shifts and cannot sign up for an open-ended schedule. Depending on findings, that may be chiropractic adjustments, soft-tissue work such as dry needling, trigger point therapy, myofascial release or massage therapy, and physiotherapy so the correction holds once you are back on your feet.

Why Montrose chooses Wellcare Chiropractic And Rehabilitation Clinic
Westheimer Road is Montrose's main artery and it is also our address, which makes the geography about as simple as it gets: point the car west and keep going. In practice, Westheimer through Montrose and Highland Village is not a fast road, so a lot of patients take West Alabama or drop down to US-59 and come up the West Loop instead. Either way it is around six miles, and knowing both routes is worth more here than in most neighborhoods.
Montrose is one of the few genuinely walkable parts of Houston, and that shows up in the complaints we see. Restaurant and bar staff who are on their feet on hard floors for ten hours. Cyclists using the neighborhood as a through-route. People in their twenties and thirties whose necks and upper backs are already changing shape from phones and laptops. Dr. Francis Ajayi examines first, explains what is actually going on, and sets a plan with a defined endpoint — which matters when you are working shifts and cannot commit to an indefinite schedule.
What we help with
Common reasons Montrose patients come in
Foot and heel pain from long shifts
Ten hours on a hard kitchen or retail floor produces predictable heel and arch pain. The cause is usually mechanical.
Learn more →Neck pain from phones and laptops
Sustained forward head position loads the cervical spine constantly. It is correctable, and earlier is easier.
Learn more →Upper-back and shoulder tension
The counterpart to a forward head. Treating the neck without the shoulder blade rarely holds.
Learn more →Posture that has already changed
Rounded shoulders and a forward head are structural once they have been held long enough — and still reversible.
Learn more →Low-back pain from standing work
Standing all day is as hard on the lumbar spine as sitting all day, just in a different direction.
Learn more →Overuse injuries from cycling
Repetitive load creates restriction well before it creates pain. Worth addressing at the stiffness stage.

Montrose chiropractic FAQs
How far is your office from Montrose?+
Around six miles. Westheimer Road runs west from Montrose directly to our building at the West Loop. In heavier traffic, West Alabama or US-59 to the West Loop is often quicker. Budget 15 to 25 minutes.
Do you see patients from Montrose?+
Yes, from across the neighborhood — Cherryhurst, Hyde Park, Mandell Place, Westmoreland, Winlow Place and the surrounding historic districts.
I am on my feet all day at work. Can chiropractic help?+
Frequently, yes. Standing work produces its own pattern of low-back, hip, and foot complaints, and the cause is usually how load is being distributed rather than the spot that hurts. The exam is where that gets sorted out.
Do I need a referral to book?+
No referral is needed to schedule with us. You can call or book online. If your insurance plan requires one, our front desk will help you work it out first.
Is the neck pain from my phone actually fixable?+
In most cases the mechanics can be improved a great deal, though it takes both in-office care and changes to how you hold your head during the day. We will be straightforward about what care can and cannot do.
Where exactly is the office?+
2500 West Loop South, Suite 260, at the northwest corner of Westheimer and the I-610 West Loop, across from The Galleria. The building has on-site parking.
