Trusted chiropractic care for Midtown

About 6 miles (15-20 minutes) from our Galleria-area office

Midtown runs from McGowen Street down to the freeway, between Bagby Street and I-45, and the METRORail Red Line up Main Street is its spine. It is the densest and fastest-growing part of inner-loop Houston, and most people who live here are used to short trips.

So it is worth knowing both routes out to us. West Alabama Street heads west on surface streets the whole way; US-59 to the I-610 West Loop is the freeway version. Either is roughly six miles to our building at the northwest corner of Westheimer and the Loop, generally fifteen to twenty minutes outside of rush hour.

Midtown’s caseload runs younger than most of our neighborhoods, and the problems track that. We see neck pain, shoulder and upper-back tension and changed posture in people in their late twenties and thirties — the mechanical result of years of phones and laptops arriving earlier than it used to. We see the service industry that fills Main Street and Bagby coming in with low-back pain from ten-hour shifts on hard floors. We see stress-related jaw clenching turning up alongside headaches and neck complaints. And we see overuse injuries from people training hard without much attention to how well the joint was moving before they loaded it.

Dr. Francis Ajayi examines, explains what is actually driving the problem, and sets a plan with a real endpoint — which matters if you work shifts and cannot sign up for something open-ended. Depending on findings that might be chiropractic adjustments, soft-tissue work such as dry needling, trigger point therapy or massage therapy, and physiotherapy to keep the change once you are back on your feet.

Local, trusted care

Why Midtown chooses Wellcare Chiropractic And Rehabilitation Clinic

Midtown is the densest, fastest-growing part of inner-loop Houston, and it is built around the METRORail Red Line running up Main Street. Most people who live here do not commute far, which is exactly why the six miles out to Uptown is worth knowing: West Alabama gets you here on surface streets, and US-59 to the West Loop is the freeway version. Both take fifteen to twenty minutes outside rush hour.

The Midtown caseload is younger than most of our other neighborhoods and the problems reflect that. A lot of it is desk-and-phone work showing up early — necks and upper backs already changing shape in people's late twenties. A lot of it is the service industry that fills Main Street and Bagby: bartenders, servers and kitchen staff on hard floors for ten hours. And a fair amount is gym-related, from people training hard without much attention to how they move. Dr. Francis Ajayi examines first and sets a plan with a defined endpoint, which matters when you work shifts.

Midtown chiropractic FAQs

How far is your office from Midtown?+

About six miles. West Alabama Street west is the simplest surface route; US-59 to the I-610 West Loop north is the freeway option. Most patients budget 15 to 20 minutes.

Do you see patients from Midtown?+

Yes — from along the Main Street corridor, around Bagby and Baldwin Parks, and the Museum District and Fourth Ward edges of the neighborhood.

I work nights in a restaurant. Can care work around that?+

It has to, or it will not get finished. Tell us your shift pattern when you book and we will build the visit schedule around it. The plan has a defined endpoint, so you know what you are committing to.

Do I need a referral to book?+

No referral is needed to schedule with us. Call or book online, and our front desk will help you if your insurance plan requires one.

I am in my twenties. Is it too early to worry about my neck?+

It is the best time. Mechanical changes from phone and laptop use are far easier to correct before they have been held for a decade, and there is usually less to undo.

Where exactly is the office?+

2500 West Loop South, Suite 260, at the northwest corner of Westheimer and the I-610 West Loop, across from The Galleria. The building has on-site parking.
