Chiropractor serving Memorial, Houston
Trusted chiropractic care for Memorial
About 6 miles (12-18 minutes) from our Galleria-area office
The Memorial area is not one neighborhood but a cluster of small independent cities — Hunters Creek, Piney Point, Bunker Hill, Hedwig, Spring Valley and Hillshire Villages — spread between I-10 on the north and the I-610 West Loop on the east. Because the Loop is the eastern edge, our office is closer than most Memorial residents assume.
Two easy routes. Memorial Drive runs east straight to the Loop. Or take I-10 east, drop south onto the West Loop, and exit at Westheimer. Our building is at the northwest corner of Westheimer and the Loop, across from The Galleria — about six miles from most Memorial addresses, generally twelve to eighteen minutes.
The pattern of complaints from this side of town is fairly consistent. It is Energy Corridor territory, so we see the results of long I-10 commutes stacked on top of long desk days: low-back pain, sciatica, and a higher-than-average share of disc injuries. We also see collision injuries, because I-10 and the West Loop produce them — and whiplash has a habit of announcing itself two or three days after the crash rather than at the scene. Add the shoulder complaints that come with golf and tennis and the work-related strains that come with repetitive job demands, and that is most of the caseload.
Dr. Francis Ajayi examines before treating and is direct about what he finds. Where the spine simply needs motion restored, that is chiropractic adjustments and physiotherapy. Where a disc is genuinely involved, non-surgical options such as spinal decompression and flexion-distraction are worth understanding before surgery enters the conversation, and x-rays are available when imaging will actually change the plan. After a collision, auto-accident care covers both the treatment and the documentation.

Local, trusted care
Why Memorial chooses Wellcare Chiropractic And Rehabilitation Clinic
Memorial is really a cluster of small independent cities — Hunters Creek, Piney Point, Bunker Hill, Hedwig, Spring Valley and Hillshire Villages — bounded by I-10 on the north and the West Loop on the east. That eastern boundary is the point: from most Memorial addresses our office is a few miles down Memorial Drive or one short hop on I-10 and the Loop. You are not crossing the city to get here.
A lot of what walks in from Memorial is commute-related and disc-related. This is Energy Corridor country, which means long stretches on I-10, long days at a desk, and the specific kind of lumbar loading that comes from sitting in traffic and then sitting at work. It is also the part of town where we see more collision injuries, because I-10 and the Loop generate them. Dr. Francis Ajayi examines thoroughly, explains what he finds, and where a disc is genuinely involved he will talk through non-surgical options before surgery becomes the conversation.
What we help with
Common reasons Memorial patients come in
Disc injuries and bulges
Non-surgical care, including spinal decompression, is often worth exploring before a surgical consult.
Learn more →Sciatica and radiating leg pain
Sharp or burning pain down the leg usually starts in the low back. We treat the source rather than the symptom.
Learn more →Low-back pain from long commutes
Sustained sitting loads the lumbar spine in one position. Restoring motion and rebuilding support is the fix.
Learn more →Whiplash after a collision
I-10 and the West Loop produce their share of crashes. Neck injuries often surface days later, not immediately.
Learn more →Shoulder and rotator-cuff pain
Golf, tennis, and overhead work all load the shoulder. Care is aimed at mechanics, not just the painful joint.
Learn more →Work-related strain injuries
Repetitive job demands create predictable patterns. Documentation and a clear plan both matter.

Memorial chiropractic FAQs
How far is your office from the Memorial area?+
About six miles from most Memorial addresses. You can take Memorial Drive east to the West Loop, or I-10 east to the Loop and head south to the Westheimer exit. Typically 12 to 18 minutes.
Do you see patients from the Memorial Villages?+
Yes. We see patients from across the Memorial area, including Hunters Creek, Piney Point, Bunker Hill, Hedwig, and Spring Valley Villages.
I was told I have a disc problem. Is chiropractic appropriate?+
Sometimes, and sometimes not — it depends entirely on the findings. We examine first, and if imaging is needed we will say so. Where non-surgical care is appropriate, spinal decompression and flexion-distraction are options we can discuss.
I was in a wreck on I-10. What should I do?+
Get examined, even if you feel mostly fine. Neck and soft-tissue injuries frequently show up two or three days after a collision. We evaluate the injury and document what we find.
Do I need a referral to book?+
No referral is needed to schedule with us. Call or book online directly, and our front desk can help if your insurance plan has its own referral requirement.
Where exactly is the office?+
